It was fall of 2002.  I’m about to leave the country for good.  However, I fell in love with this girl, what am I to do?  I wrote this song, recorded it, and gave it to her just before I left; that’s what I did… and the rest is history.

Broken

This is where my songwriting journey started.  After being crushed emotionally, I picked up my guitar, and started making music.  Looking back, I really cannot pinpoint how I did it; the melody and words just started flowing out of me.  And now, my catalog has grown to almost 60 songs, thanks to this album which showcases the very first 9 songs that I have ever written.

New-fashioned Christmas Carols

I wanted to write Christmas songs that not only celebrate the season, but also inject it with some realism and truth.  Carried by the fourth track "The New Christmas", I wanted to express how I feel about how different Christmas is today, compared to what it was decades ago.

Also in this album is one of my favorite songs that I've written, "Karoling"; a song about a timeless Christmas tradition in the Philippines.

Started writing this song back in 2021, and was supposed to be out Christmas that year.  However, back then, I can't seem to get the ending right; was not happy with it, so I decided to pull it.  Now it's ready, and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Busko Pa Rin

Proud to be "Busko"!  I wanted to write a song that describes what it is like to be a Bosconian years after graduating.  Hopefully, this song will relate to all Bosconians young and old.

I wrote this song in 2003 and completed it just in time for my wedding; surprised my wife by actually singing it at the party.

Songs From The Deep

My most personal album yet.  Very emotional and deep songs; some of which were written for friends and relatives who have lost a loved one.  I also sprinkled in a pair of political songs, both of which were released as singles just in time for the most important presidential election in my home country, the Philippines.

I thought that the arrangement and production of the songs were superb, most especially on "Sana Wag Na Maulit".

Share The Wealth (feat. Emma & Julia Atanacio)

A song with a strong message at its core, with beautiful performances by siblings Emma and Julia.

Thematically used by "Tampi Plaza" (a small business in the small town of Amlan, Negros Oriental) when they distributed relief goods to countless families who desparately need it in the aftermath of typhoon "Odette".  Watch the video here.

Lupang Hinarang

An all-Tagalog album that tackles varying stories of the Philippines and being a Filipino.  From what it is like growing up in the Philippines (Noon At Ngayon) and having childhood crushes (Sana), to social issues (Dear Juan) and electon problems (Halalan), the album threads a fine line between being political and just being "fun".  The album also gives tribute to the national heroes of the country (Bayani), to the OPM rock bands of the 90s (Bandemonium), and to the Filipina (Pinay).  Rounding out this 9-track album is a song about my alma mater (Peyups) and a song about what it is like to be a Filipino living in the USA (Pinoy Sa Amerika).
